Police have revealed the horrific details leading up to the moment a pregnant woman was allegedly run over in an alleged domestic violence-related attack in south-west Sydney, metres away from her three children, as a man is charged with causing life-threatening injuries.
The couple were arguing as they parked outside their property on Maddison Court in Narellan Vale on Wednesday morning, with the fight continuing as they entered their home. Police allege the man broke a TV before smashing a glass vase over the woman’s head.

The woman called Triple Zero at 8.35am and ran outside for help. The man is then alleged to have reversed into the woman in the couple’s Mazda sedan, running her over, before fleeing the scene.
The 36-year-old woman was treated at the scene before being airlifted to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition, with injuries to her face, internal injuries and a broken pelvis.
There were three children in the home at the time of the alleged attack, ranging in age from six to 15.

Just before 11am, a 36-year-old man was arrested in a phone box near Camden Valley Way after police received information. He was taken to Narellan Vale police station, where he was charged with seven offences, including the domestic violence charge of reckless grievous bodily harm.
The man was refused bail and will appear at Campbelltown Local Court on Thursday.
The car was found in Wattle Green Place in the same suburb and a crime scene has been established.

The man was known to police. The couple did not have a history of domestic violence reported to police and there were no apprehended violence orders in place.
Speaking at Narellan police station on Wednesday afternoon, Detective Chief Inspector Paul Albury said police were confronted with a horrific scene.
“When police arrived … they were met with a pretty horrendous scene,” he said.
“There was a frantic search by police undertaken with significant resources … thankfully, we were able to arrest him within hours.”
Police are appealing for anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage who was in the area about 8.30am to contact Narellan Vale police station or Crime Stoppers.
