According to reports, Jacob Batalon’s fiancée, Veronica Leahov, was born in Moldova. For those unfamiliar with the area, it lies between Romania and Ukraine. After being raised there, she lived in Belgium for a couple of years, from 2014 to 2017. Later, Veronica moved to New York City to pursue a degree in interior design. According to her LinkedIn profile, Veronica graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in November 2022.

After graduating with a Master’s degree in interior design, Veronica began working at the Rockwell Group in New York in December 2019. She started out here as an intern for 4 months, after which she decided to return to the position in the following summer and stayed in that role for 7 months, from May 2021 to November 2021. A quick look at Veronica’s website reveals that she has worked alongside designer and architect, David Rockwell, who apparently became her “mentor.” According to Veronica, “The clean lines and bold shapes of his designs left an indelible impression. I learnt that sophistication is the ultimate luxury.”
Veronica last worked for Restoration Hardware (RH) as a commercial interior designer. She stayed with the company for 4 years and 2 months before leaving in December 2025, per her LinkedIn profile. Veronica Leahov and Jacob Batalon got engaged in front of the N.Y.C skyline
It was just last year, in March 2025, that Jacob Batalon decided to propose to his then-girlfriend and now-fiancée. If reports are to be believed, the Spider-Man: Brand New Day star got down on one knee right in front of the New York City skyline, making for the most romantic proposal. Veronica, unable to hide her excitement, took to her Instagram and wrote, “A lifetime of us!!!! I never imagined my heart could hold so much love and feel such depth of emotion.” She also wrote that it was the purest happiness she had ever known and that she could not wait to spend forever with the love of her life.
Interestingly, the timing of Veronica and Jacob’s engagement came within two months of the latter’s Spider-Man co-stars, Tom Holland and Zendaya, getting engaged. With many speculating about the serendipitous timing of the occasion, Jacob, in an interview with Metro Entertainment, revealed that he and Tom did not know each other’s plans beforehand.
