However, the couple officially announced their relationship a few months ago through Instagram in June 2025. While the post has been deleted now, it featured a snap of the duo’s shoes alongside another picture, where Jo Powell was spotted eating.
The duo continued sharing more glimpses of their relationship on social media. Jo was the first person to post pictures of himself and Milly on Instagram in June 2025. Alcock then began sharing posts on Instagram from July 2025, with one of them featuring snaps from her vacation with Powell. In the same month, Jo posted pictures of another trip to Tuscany. Jo later shared a lineup of pictures in November 2025, which included photos taken inside a restaurant.
For the unversed, Jo Powell appears to be active as a chef. He also operates Schoolnights Ltd, which is linked to a bar named 392 Kingsland Road, located in London. The website of the venue says that it remains closed on Mondays and Sundays. Furthermore, the website also states that although it is a walk-in bar, they have a few places available for dinner reservations. Jo even operates an Instagram account, where he has occasionally shared pictures from 392 Kingsland Road.

Milly Alcock opens up on how she prepared for Supergirl
As mentioned, Milly Alcock will play the lead in Supergirl. The movie is a part of the new DC Universe, created by James Gunn and Peter Safran. Supergirl will be followed by Man of Tomorrow in 2027. The film is directed by Craig Gillespie and is arriving on the big screen on June 26, 2026. While the trailer is out now, Milly recently opened up on how she prepared for the role in an interview with Vanity Fair on March 31, 2026 (ET).
Milly said that she was ready to deal with any kind of criticism, considering her experience working on House of the Dragon. Alcock admitted that she was scared, adding that although she wants everyone to like her, the situation is not in her control. Addressing how the experience helped her to play ‘Kara Zor-El,’ Alcock said:
“It definitely made me aware that simply existing as a woman in that space is something that people comment on. We have become very comfortable having this weird ownership of women’s bodies.”
