The group that brought the world “Master of Puppets” just pulled some strings.

Less than a week after announcing their Las Vegas Sphere ‘Life Burns Faster’ residency, Metallica has added six dates to their Sin City run due to overwhelming demand.

They now have 14 concerts at the visually-spectacular venue.

Their new gigs— which take place over three “no repeat weekends” where they will play shows on Thursday and Saturdays with no overlap whatsoever — are scheduled to go down:

Thursday, Oct. 8
8:30 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 10
8:30 p.m.

Thursday, Nov. 5
8:30 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 7
8:30 p.m.

Thursday, Jan. 28, 2027
8:30 p.m.

Saturday, Jan. 30, 2027
8:30 p.m.

Metallica’s eight other Sphere concerts are slated for Oct. 1-31 of this year.

According to a press release, the Rock Hall of Famers’ residency will consist of “live staples and surprises spanning the Metallica catalogue enhanced by the venue’s immersive technologies that will allow fans to experience the sound and fury of the band’s live performance in new experiential dimensions.”

Ahead of this highly-anticipated stint on the Strip, Metallica took their “no repeat weekend” shows on tour all over North America from 2023-25 as part of their ‘M72 Tour’ in support of their 2023 album with the same name.

“During [their] performance [of “Enter Sandman”], 60,000 excited fans in the stadium created so much commotion and excitement that, using the Richter scale, a 1.5 magnitude tremor,” WKNC noted in a review of the band’s May 2025 concert in Blacksburg, VA.

We can’t wait to see what they bring to Sphere.

A ‘Life Burns Fast Faster’ fan club pre-sale for the new dates starts March 4 at 10 am PT. At the time of publication, pre-sales for the original dates are live.

Tickets officially go on sale to the general public on Friday, March 6 at 10 am PT through Ticketmaster — following a number of presales — but are available now on trusted secondary market sites like Vivid Seats.

Metallica new music

On April 14, 2023, Metallica dropped their 11th studio album “72 Seasons.”

The thrumming, high-velocity record quickly sets the tone with the non-stop thrill ride title track and then refuses to let up throughout its healthy 77-minute runtime.

Indisputable highlights include the snaking “Sleepwalk My Life Away,” nakedly raw “You Must Burn!” and unrelenting “Lux Æterna.” Don’t expect a second to breathe; Metallica goes hard the entire time with nary a moment to rest. Just the way it should be.

To hear for yourself, you can listen to “72 Seasons” here.
