MTV has canceled Rob Dyrdek’s long-running comedy clip series “Ridiculousness” after an impressive 14 years and 46 seasons, The Post can confirm.
“No more original episodes of ‘Ridiculousness’ will be produced,” sources familiar with the decision told The Post on Friday.
“As the company works to reimagine MTV for the future, the channel will feature a more curated slate that embraces its experimental DNA – exploring fresh formats, different creative voices, and refreshed programming,” they shared.
However, the insiders added that new and previously produced first-run episodes will continue to air on the Paramount-owned network through next year.
Prior seasons of all produced episodes will also continue to air on MTV, and select seasons will continue to stream on Paramount+.
The Post has reached out to Dyrdek’s reps for comment.

Dydrek, 51, has hosted the series since its inception, and he was often joined by familiar co-hosts like Sterling “Steelo” Brim and Lauren “Lolo” Wood. TV personality Chanel West Coast, 37, appeared on the popular comedy series from its debut in 2011 until her departure in 2023.
“Ridiculousness” has more than 1,700 episodes and was one of MTV’s longest-running shows in the network’s history.
Reruns of the program have dominated MTV’s broadcast schedule for years, especially after the network pulled back its original and music-oriented content.
On Thursday, just one day before the cancellation news was announced, Bloomberg reported that MTV was paying the former pro skateboarder upwards of $32 million per year.
Dyrdek’s massive paycheck included bonuses, a $21,000-per-episode executive producer fee and a $61,000-per-episode on-camera fee, according to the outlet.
The former athlete-turned-host has been with MTV since starting his reality TV career with “Rob & Big” in 2006, followed by “Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory” in 2009.
“’Rob & Big’ aired when I was 32 years old,” Dyrdek said on the “Trading Secrets” in 2021, per Us Weekly. “I was looking at it as a platform. I then saw what I got from the platform. I knew how bad they wanted me to do a show.”
After making an estimated $35,000 per episode of “Rob & Big,” MTV reportedly offered him $125,000 to produce a fourth season or create a new show.
“I would only do the show if I owned the integration. There was a little pushback starting to happen, so they gave me my integration,” he said of “Fantasy Factory” at the time. “Now, I sold deals to Chevy, Microsoft. I sold all my own deals that I wrote episodes around for the television show.”
“I was making millions because I owned the platform,” Dyrdek added.
Two years after creating “Fantasy Factory,” the reality star and MTV launched “Ridiculousness.”
“I’ve built all these systems to allow my entire life to be this entire machine,” he explained back in 2021. “I shoot 250 episodes of television a year.”
“I live a perfectly balanced life, where I spend 32 percent of my time sleeping, 32 percent of the time working, and about 30 percent with my family, wife, and friends,” he added.
Dyrdek married model Bryiana Flores in 2015. The couple has since welcomed two kids: son Kodah Dash, 8, and daughter Nala Ryan Dyrdek, 7.
