Well, that was fast.

Less than a year after 2025’s sprawling ‘Rushmere Tour,’ Mumford & Sons announced their 2026 ‘Prizefighter Tour’ in support of their new studio album, their second offering in two years.

This time around, they’ll headline at stadiums, arenas, pavilions and amphitheaters all over North America from June through October with folksy big-name special guests like Caamp, Lord Huron, Sierra Ferrell, The Marcus King Band, Dylan Gossett and more on select dates.

While out and about, the “Little Lion Man” group are scheduled to make two stops in New York. Those gigs go down at:

Empower Federal Credit Union Amphitheater
Syracuse, NY
Thursday, June 18

Madison Square Garden
New York, NY
Tuesday, Aug. 11

In addition to the nationwide summer outing, the band will also lend their talents to Saint Charles, IA’s Hinterland Music Festival (Aug. 1), Montreal’s Lasso Festival (Aug. 16) and Louisville, KY’s Bourbon and Beyond Festival (Sept. 25).

Most recently, the two-time Grammy winners performed 17 songs at Tempe, AZ’s annual Innings Festival on Feb. 20. According to Set List FM, they busted out the hits like “I Will Wait,” “The Cave” and “Little Lion Man” as well as cuts from their recently-released sixth studio album including “Run Together,” “The Banjo Song” and the title track, “Prizefighter.”

“Mumford & Sons tugged at the heartstrings and thrilled the soul — if the bridge of “I Will Wait” sung by Marcus Mumford and 20,000 fans doesn’t give you the chills, I don’t know what to tell you — ending the evening on an emotional high,” The Phoenix New Times reported.

Mumford & Sons new music

On Feb. 20, Mumford & Sons released their sixth studio album “Prizefighter.”

The group doesn’t reinvent the wheel here; instead, they deliver another familiar batch of introspective singalongs that’ll make you want to pump your fist while possibly shedding a tear or two.

“Here” featuring Chris Stapleton, the record’s first track, sets the tone. Deeply-felt and intimate, the song is about pride, shame, regrets and grows on you with each listen. Three spins in and I can’t wait to hear this one a fourth time.

Other highlights on the 14-track offering include the quiet crowd pleaser “Rubber Band Man” (with Hozier), the lo-fi barroom ballad “The Banjo Song,” hypnotic tearjerker “Alleycat,” sadly sweet “Prizefighter” and crunchy stomper “Icarus” (that Gigi Perez guests on and owns).

To hear for yourself, you can find “Prizefighter” here.

Mumford & Sons special guests

As noted above, Mumford and Sons are bringing in a number of high-profile opening acts along with them on the road. To make sure you’re up to speed on their sounds, you can find each artist’s most-streamed song below.

Caamp: “Vagabond”
