Hayfever season is here, and Nadine Baggott has shared some of her go-to products that ‘really help’ reduce symptoms including an on-sale spray to wash pollen out of your eyes

It’s official – we’re in hayfever season, and for those affected it means months of sore, itchy eyes, blocked noses and irritated red skin on the horizon. But if your usual coping methods just don’t seem to be cutting it any more or you’ve yet to find something that really works, Nadine Baggott has come to our rescue.

The resident beauty expert for This Morning has shared some of her go-to products that she relies on which help with everything from itchy dry eyes to a stuffy nose, and they’re all ultra-affordable. One we’re very keen to add to our hayfever beauty rotation is the Avène Thermal Spring Water Spray for Sensitive Skin, which is currently £12.40 down from £15.50.

Nadine said: “This is the only spray that I will put anywhere near my eyes when my eyes are really bad.” She also added: “This you can actually wash the pollen out of your eyes with, but you can also spray it over and under makeup throughout the day and it just cools it and soothes it.”

The Avène Thermal Spring Water Spray is formulated with thermal spring water, which is sourced in its purse state and bottled. You can use it to refresh, calm, soften and hydrate your skin, with a formula that’s specially designed for sensitive skin – perfect for those irritable hayfever eyes. It’s also quick drying, so you can spray it on the go without worrying about it getting everywhere.

LookFantastic shoppers have also praised the Avène Thermal Spring Water Spray , giving it 4.9 out of 5 stars. One reviewer said: “Very refreshing. Helps minimise redness on face and really good to spray on dry patches of scalp.”

Another praised: “Everyone who has sensitive skin needs this for better hydration, more soothed skin with better texture and great softness. It absorbs really well.”

One did say, however: “Okay product however don’t notice a major difference but I will say it does feel really nice and refreshing to use before skincare.”

Other items in Nadine’s must-use list include the Clarinaze Hayfever Relief 0.05% w/w Nasal Spray which is £10.50 at Boots. Nadine said it’s “Definitely the best nose spray” for when you want to avoid the drowsy effect of anti-histamine tablets.

She also raved about SVR Laboratoires Palpebral Calming Soothing Face Balm which is currently £22.50 at LookFantastic. Nadine added that it “Instantly soothes and cools the eyes, especially at night”, with the cream designed to help calm and soothe dry and eczema prone skin and being safe to use on your eyelids.

When one follower mentioned they struggle with an under eye concealer that doesn’t irritate their hayfever symptoms, Nadine also recommended the Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Gel Concealer. The concealer is currently on sale down from £26 to £19.50, with Nadine saying she’s currently using and “loving it”.
