Stars of Bling Empire Kevin Kreider and Devon Diep have announced that they have ended their engagement and ten-year long relationship, saying it ‘was not an easy decision’

The stars of Netflix show Bling Empire have released a statement announcing that they have decided to end their engagement and ten year relationship. Kevin Kreider and Devon Diep have been in a relationship for more than a decade and only announced that they were engaged five months ago.

Bling Empire follows the lives of young wealthy Asian American who live in Los Angeles. According to a statement released by the couple, the split was “not an easy decision”.

The duo decided to call off their engagement in a bid to “move forward on separate paths.” The full statement read: “After much thought and reflection, Devon and I have decided to end our engagement and move forward on separate paths. “

The statement, shared with People magazine, added: “This was not an easy decision. We care deeply for one another and will always support each other. We are grateful for the time we shared, but at this point in our lives we believe we are better suited as friends.” It concluded: “We kindly ask for privacy as we navigate this next chapter.”

Kevin proposed to Devon during a romantic getaway to the Italian city of Rome at the end of September last year. Sharing their happy news among their large following on social media, the caption attached to a picture of themselves in the historic city read: “The most powerful question is “Will you marry me?” 3.7 years after our second chance at love, we realize it’s not just about love, it’s about commitment towards each other and choosing to say yes, even when the highs aren’t as high, and we have no idea how low the lows can be.”

Kevin then added: “But when we hit rock bottom, we grew closer to each other and closer to our faith. We rose out of the chaos and noise, distractions that were pulling us apart to a unity that is stronger because of the tests and trials.”

He continued: “We’re happy to announce that we are officially engaged and we did it in style and it was beyond our wildest dreams. I can’t wait to marry you.”

The post was accompanied with a red heart emoji,. Kevin first appeared on the show without Devon as the couple had separated.

But after one of his co-stars decided to play matchmaker after Kevin revealed that he still had feelings for her, Devon then joined the cast of the popular Netflix show. And their turbulent relationship became one of the main storylines of the show.

The show first aired back in 2021 and its success allowed it to have three season. But show bosses felt that a fourth season was not going to take place and the show came to an abrupt end.

However, it wasn’t just Bling Empire that had been cancelled, so too was the spin-off series Bling Empire: New York, which only lasted one series.

This came after Kevin revealed that he was shockingly paid less than a delivery driver while on the show, despite heavy filming schedules.
