The crime thriller, Kohrra has returned with another engaging and gripping season. This time, Barun Sobti as ‘Sub-Inspector Amarpal Jasjit Garundi’ has come along with ‘Dhanwant Kaur’ (played by Mona Singh), to solve the complex mu***r case of ‘Preet Bajwa’. Plotline of Kohrra 2
The season revolves around the brutal mu***r of ‘Preet Bajwa’ (Pooja Bhamrrah), an NRI social media influencer. Assistant Sub-Inspector, ‘Amarpal Garundi’ and ‘Dhanwant Kaur’ start investigating the case. Eventually, they discover that ‘Preet’ had a complex life. She had a twisted relationship with her family, her estranged husband (Rannvijay Singha) and boyfriend (Vikhyat Gulati).

The crime thriller also features the personal lives of ‘Dhanwant’ and ‘Amarpal’. ‘Dhanwant‘ struggles to get over the pain of her son’s death and also tries to handle her hard-core alcoholic husband. On the other hand, ‘Amarpal’ deals with the guilt of having an affair with his sister-in-law. He also struggles with the frustration of taking orders from his wife and then from ‘Dhanwant’ at work.

Prime suspects of ‘Preet’s mu***r
As the intense investigation takes place, the officials find out that there were multiple people who could kill ‘Preet’. The major suspect becomes her brother, ‘Baljinder’, as ‘Preet’ had a legal notice to him over her share of the family property. Later, Mona Singh and Barun Sobti find out about the bonded labour on ‘Baljinder’s’ farm, who are exploited for years. Parallel to this, the show also introduces a young man, ‘Arun’ who is in search of his missing father, ‘Rakesh’.

Kohrra season 2 ending explained
As the show moves ahead, viewers realise that ‘Arun’ and ‘Rakesh’s’ sub plot is much more than a side story. Towards the end of the show, ‘Dhanwant’ and ‘Amarpal’ find out that a childhood friend of ‘Baljinder’s’ wife, ‘Twinkle’ was hired to kill ‘Preet’. ‘Twinkle’ confesses that she hired someone only to protect the inheritance of her daughter. However, when the friend reached, ‘Preet’ was already dead.

Later, ‘Dhanwant’ and ‘Amarpal‘ try to find the root of the bonded labour, where they discover that ‘Arun’s father, ‘Rakesh’ was one of them. Eventually, the truth prevailed as ‘Rakesh’ is one who killed ‘Preet’. He reveals that years after being free from the farm, he returned to the same place and because of his trauma, he tries to chain himself. When ‘Preet’ sees him, she tries to stop him; however, ‘Rakesh’ gets frustrated and pushes her and she accidentally falls onto a sharp tool, resulting in her death.

The show ends with ‘Dhanwant’ and ‘Amarpal’ sorting out their personal issues. ‘Dhanwant’, who was grieving her son’s death, finally confronts her emotions. She even tries to understand her alcoholic husband, who started drinking as he felt lonely. At the end, he goes to rehabilitation. On the other hand, ‘Amarpal’ was dealing with the guilt of cheating on his wife, ‘Silky’ as his sister-in-law. Towards the end of the show, his wife accepts the reality and chooses forgiveness. The show explores the harsh reality of what a corrupt system and trauma can lead to.
