Bodycam footage of Jay Cutler’s DUI arrest has been released — days after the ex-NFL quarterback completed a two-and-a-half-day stint in jail for the October 2024 bust.
In the clip published Thursday by TMZ Sports, the 42-year-old Cutler was asked by a police officer on the Franklin, Tenn., scene how much alcohol he had consumed after rear-ending another vehicle.
When Cutler replied “none,” the official told the former signal caller not to lie to him and asked again, to which Cutler offered, “a little bit.”
Upon rejecting a field sobriety test, the officer handcuffed Cutler, who did not push back and was placed in the back of a squad car.
Cutler was booked on DUI and gun possession last fall.
It was later reported that he had allegedly offered the other driver involved in the incident $2,000 not to call the police.
In the months that followed, Cutler cut a deal with prosecutors, pleading guilty to one count of misdemeanor DUI. He was sentenced to four days in jail and surrendered in late September.
The weapons charge Cutler was facing was also dismissed as part of the deal.
He was ordered to serve a year of unsupervised probation and instructed to pay a $350 fine.
Although Cutler has served his time, this chapter remains ongoing.
Us Weekly reported in September that Cutler was being sued by the driver of the vehicle he allegedly hit, with the plaintiff claiming “he said he has endured physical and mental suffering and the loss of enjoyment of life.”
The 11th overall pick by the Broncos in 2006, Cutler played 12 seasons in the NFL and is largely known for his time with the Bears from 2009-16. He played his final season for the Dolphins in 2017.
Cutler was previously married to reality star Kristin Cavallari, who was featured in MTV’s “Laguna Beach” and “The Hills,” from 2013 to 2022.
They have three children together.
