The association emphasized that reports suggesting a fuel shortage are false and urged the public not to believe such rumours.
It noted that long queues at petrol bunks are being caused by panic buying, as consumers rush to fill fuel fearing non-availability. The association added that such advance purchases are creating temporary inconvenience at some locations.
Reassuring the public, the association said there is no disruption in supply and advised consumers to remain calm and avoid unnecessary stocking of fuel.
