A nurse has been bashed in an apparent racist attack at a gym, leaving him with a broken nose.
Harman Preet Singh, 22, was leaving Planet Fitness in Corio, Geelong (Australia), on Tuesday night when he says he was approached by three men, 9 News reported.
He says the men had already harassed him during his workout and that they then waited for him outside.
A video shows one of the men calling Singh an “Indian dog”.
Singh then claims one of the men head-butted him before the trio left in a grey car.
He took himself to hospital where he spent the night, and will now need to take a week off work.
The “traumatized” gym-goer said it was not the first time he had been targeted because of his race.
“I try to keep myself strong, not care about such things, but it hurts,” he said.
“I don’t know if I’m going to go back to the gym or if I’m going to change my hours … I’m not going to feel safe after this.”
