She might be known for her ultra-glam looks and collection of designer clothes, but whenever Olivia Attwood is off-duty, she’s more likely to be sporting a pair of trainers than some stilettos. And her go-to trainer of choice? It’s almost always a pair of Vans Classic Slip-On Platform Checkerboard Trainers.
Although she has them in other colours too, like red and white, and grey and black, Olivia almost always opts for the black and white version as her default casual footwear. The monochrome pairs perfectly with everything from jeans to wide leg trousers and even dresses, and you can currently snap them up at ASOS for £75 in sizes 3 to 13, with half size options.

They’re one of Vans’ classic styles, with a slip-on low profile design and uppers made from canvas which means they’re breathable and lightweight. The soles of the Slip-On Platform Checkerboard Trainers are made from heavy duty rubber with a waffled tread (another Vans signature) which gives you good grip.
The cuffs around your heels and ankles are padded to make them more comfortable, and there’s even elastic inserts on the side so they move with your feet. The platform version of the trainers also has an extra chunky sole which gives you some extra height.
The platform sole is something ASOS shoppers have been quick to praise, saying: “This is my second purchase of the platform and love them so much. As a short girlie they give me a bit of height when I’m wearing longer trousers so they don’t completely drag on the floor.”
