VIJAYAWADA: Jana Sena chief and Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan is set to chair a high-level meeting titled ‘Padavi–Badhyata’ (Position and Responsibility) on Monday, aimed at streamlining governance and ensuring accountability among party nominees.
The meeting will be held at CK Convention Centre in Mangalagiri and is expected to be attended by nearly 3,000 Jana Sena leaders recently appointed to nominated posts under the NDA coalition government.
Announcing the programme during a teleconference with party legislators and corporation chairmen on Sunday, JSP Political Affairs Committee chairman and Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar said the conclave is intended to instil a strong sense of public service among appointees.
“The Padavi–Badhyata programme is a crucial step. Party president Pawan Kalyan will outline a clear roadmap on how those holding positions must work to meet people’s aspirations,” Manohar said. He added that the Deputy CM aims to bridge the gap between party ideology and administrative execution.
The meeting will be attended by MPs, MLAs, MLCs, chairmen of state corporations and directors. Party sources said the leadership would issue clear guidelines and a strict code of conduct, stressing that nominated posts are responsibilities, not rewards, and must be used for grassroots development and clean governance.
