Peter Andre has shared why he has a “slightly different” take on the often-sad notion of children flying the nest as he looks to the future as a father and potential grandfather
Peter Andre has shared why he has a “slightly different” take on the often-sad notion of children flying the nest. The Mysterious Girl singer, 53, has Princess, 18, and 20-year-old Junior with his ex-wife Katie Price as well as Millie, 12, Theo, nine, and 22-month-old Belle with wife Emily.
Having noticed that actress Joanna Page, whom he has fond memories of working with, had spoken out of her worries that one day life with her four children will be dramatically different when they grow up, he explained that he can understand but also looks forward to what the future holds for them all as a family.
Writing in his new! magazine column, he said: “Gavin & Stacey star Joanna Page is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. We did Cooking with the Stars together. I saw recently she’d said she worries about her children flying the nest one day. Although I totally get that, I try and look at it a slightly different way.
“I have the hope that one of our children may have children, and we’ll do it all again, as grandparents! Yes, it’s sad but I also love seeing them growing up. But Emily worries about this a lot as well. Junior’s moved in with his girlfriend but Princess certainly hasn’t flown the nest yet! She loves knowing she’ll be cooked for – every afternoon I get the text asking what’s for dinner!”
Meanwhile, the former I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! star was thrilled to see that Hilary Duff, who shot to fame on the Disney Channel series Lizzie McGuire in the early 2000s before launching a stellar career in movies and music, has made a comeback with a world tour.

The What Dreams Are Made Of songstress, who has Luca, 13 with with ex-husband Mike Comrie as well as Banks, seven, Mae, four, and 21-month-old Townes with Matthew Koma, had spoken out about how good it felt to see her children embrace her showbiz career, and Peter noted that his younger children had started to do the same since he started releasing new music.
He said: “It was really interesting to hear about how Hilary Duff’s kids think she’s cool, now she’s launched a comeback with her world tour. Apparently they’d rather listen to her than current stars like Sabrina Carpenter! ALTHOUGH My kids have always known me FOR being on stage, I did happen to hear Millie’s playlist recently. She had Flava on it, my number one hit in 1996! I was secretly buzzing although I was one of hundreds of people on the playlist, but at least I made the list, LOL!
“Theo’s number one artist is Michael Jackson, good taste in music, I say! However, I do hear him occasionally play my new son Rock U Right – so I’m obviously buzzing about that too! Could I ever go back to my heyday with abs? Never say never – there’s still time to get ripped and re-do Mysterious Girl!
