American rapper Pitbull is hoping to make history this summer when he headlines a huge festival. The Give Me Everything star, 45, has signed up for BST at London’s Hyde Park on July 10 where he plans to break a bizarre world record.
Taking to Instagram, promoting the plum gig, Pitbull announced he wanted to attract the largest gathering ever of people wearing bald caps after Radio One’s Greg James, who is a long-time fan of the rapper, floated the idea on his breakfast show.
Telling his followers he wanted to make history after hearing about Greg’s world record request, Pitbull wrote: “It’s official. Let’s make history. After the idea was championed by @greg_james on @bbcradio1, we’re on a mission to secure a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the largest gathering of people wearing bald caps and @pitbull needs YOU there in London’s Hyde Park on Friday 10 July. Let’s have a real good time!”

Responding to the post, Pitbull’s fans promised they would be there with one excited ticketholder asking: “Guys, do I get to tell everyone that I have a Guinness world record if we do this?”
The attempt builds on a phenomenon sparked by Pitbull’s devoted fanbase, including his recent sold-out O2 Arena shows in London where thousands of fans – many of whom were women – arrived wearing bald caps. The fan fashion tribute to the artist’s iconic look quickly went viral last year, with audiences affectionately dubbing themselves “The Bald E’s”.
According to TikTok’s recent The Big Shop Report, Pitbull’s 2025 Party After Dark tour saw a 420% spike in costume sales – which includes the bald caps – while #PitbullConcert views increased by over 6000% between May 25 and June 25.
The star will perform on the Great Oak Stage on July 10 2026, with fans already preparing their suits, sunglasses and bald caps to listen to bangers, including Hotel Room Service, Don’t Stop The Party and Get On The Floor.
