Police investigate after man found with throat cut on WA property

Police are investigating after a man was found dead on a property in Western Australia’s south last week.

This masthead understands the squad was called in after a man, believed to be in his 30s, was found with a laceration-type wound to his throat just after 6am at a property in Beedelup on Thursday last week.

St John Ambulance crews were called to the scene on Etherington Road, but paramedics were stood down on arrival.

WA Police confirmed detectives were called and are investigating.

“Bunbury Detectives are investigating the circumstances surround the death of a man on Thursday … at a property in Beedelup,” a spokesperson said.

“The investigation is ongoing, and we may have further details to provide at a later time.”

The cause of the man’s death is undetermined, and officers are investigating whether it may be non-suspicious.

Beedelup is in the Shire of Manjimup, and is about 25 kilometres away from Pemberton.

The area is predominantly forest and is home to the Beedelup National Park, and some of the state’s premier tourism offerings.
