Harmonies, symbioses and contradictions – a language of color distinct to Prada.
This foundational philosophy finds its purest expression in the new Prada Fine Jewelry collection, Couleur Vivante, conceived by Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons. The collection is an exploration of absolute, intense color. It investigates simultaneous dualities and nuanced expressions through unanticipated combinations of unconventional gemstones.

Each stone is selected for its exceptional chromatic value, its precise place within a defined Prada spectrum. Amethyst, aquamarine, madeira citrine, pink morganite and oro-verde peridot are placed in deliberate contrast. These dichotomies challenge established notions of preciosity, mirroring the house’s constant interrogation of luxury.
The campaign imagery, photographed by David Sims under the creative direction of Ferdinando Verderi, builds from the sempiternal beauty of the gems. It underscores an essential exploration of the ideology of color, of contrast, and of subversion through classicism. The portraits begin in arresting monochrome, then become canvases for subtle veils of transparent, translucent color. Faces appear framed as if set within a jewel’s embrace.

Against this dreamlike ambiance, the jewelry is highlighted in its actual, vital hues. The abstracted shades behind each portrait lend the pieces a new hyperreality. The forms themselves speak an archetypical language – drop earrings, solitaire rings, line bracelets and rivière necklaces. Yet through radical color, their inherent meaning is fundamentally shifted.
Traditional perceptions are challenged by asymmetry, by disrupted gem settings, by intentional and unexpected contrasts. Delicately set stones appear to float, their radiance liberated. Each piece is a study in chromatic intent.
Marking a commitment to exceptional transparency, every Couleur Vivante piece is recorded on the Aura Consortium blockchain for authenticity verification. Customers can also access a visual narrative of each gemstone’s journey—from its raw, uncut state to its final polished form. A grading certificate from a leading independent gemological laboratory accompanies each stone, documenting its key characteristics and attesting to the transformation from rough to refined.
