Geordie Shore star Sophie Kasaei has revealed she’s been left with ‘gender disappointment’ ahead of the arrival of her first child with Jordan Brook, later this summer
Sophie Kasaei admits suffering from “gender disappointment”. The reality star who shot to fame on MTV’s Geordie Shore will give birth to her first child with TOWIE’s Jordan Brooks this summer.
The star, 36, who has been open about her two-year fertility struggles, has shared an insight into her mindset as she spoke to fellow reality star pal, Holly Hagan, about her journey to motherhood. Admitting that becoming a mum is everything she could have dreamed of, Sophie went on to disclose that it had left her feeling “miserable”.
As she became teary, she said: “This is everything I’ve ever wanted, why do I feel this low and miserable? I just don’t like this feeling like I don’t know what the hell I’m gonna do.” Earlier this year, Sophie and her partner Jordan shared their gender reveal on Instagram – which Sophie also addressed.

“This is just amazing and magical but then I was like, ‘There’s blue’,” she said. Holly added: “Gender disappointment is absolutely a thing, I see it all the time on social media.”
“I think people shouldn’t be knocked down for that,” commented Sophie. Her comments came just days after Sophie told her online followers it had been a “tough two weeks,” as Jordan battles an agonising illness in hospital. Reality star Jordan is currently suffering from swelling in the brain.
Earlier this month, Jordan said he’d been rushed to the hospital, and on Monday, he said he was hoping for “praying for a miracle”. He later shared an update from his hospital bed, writing: “Unfortunately, this is still the view for me. This seems to be a never ending hell at moment.
“I’m awaiting results from a procedure once we get them more will be cleared up – what we do know is I have confirmed inflammation and swelling of the brain. A really scary time that reassures you we are all human.”
Sharing a post on her stories, Sophie told fans: “It’s been a tough two weeks for our family. Seeing Jordan so poorly has been hard but he is getting there and will get better. It’s going to take time but he is so strong and he’s getting through knowing he’s going to be an amazing dad and that moment is coming.
“Me and bump are just praying and staying strong for dadda and we can’t wait for him to be home soon.” She added: “Few more days and we will have answers. We live in a scary world. Thank you for all your messages, means a lot. We are all staying positive and every day is a day closer to being back as a family.”
Sophie previously said it was too risky for her to join Jordan at his bedside, and told her followers that they were “still waiting for answers”. Speaking on social media, she said: “If people are trying to contact him he’s unable to use his phone at the moment as he’s in pain and is mostly sleeping.
“His family are there with him doing a great job as it’s too risky for me and baby. He will be there for the next few days and hopefully be on the mend and back home to me and bump very soon. Lots of love.”
