Primorje and Solaris win points in close contests

Jadran Split and Mladost collected points with ease in the 11th  round of the Croatian League, the last one in the first half of the regular season.

Mladost beat its local rival, Medvescak, 25:7, with five goals from Marko Radulovic and Viktor Tonicic. The league-leader Jadran Split defeated Zadar 24:8. Dusan Matkovic contributed five goals to the win, and captain Jerko Marinic Kragic added four.

Primorje recorded a victory over Mornar in an exciting match held in Split. The visiting team from Rijeka maintained control of the game for most of the time. Midway through the third quarter, Primorje led 10:6. However, Mornar made a strong comeback, launching a 4:0 run that tied the game at 10:10 with 3 minutes and 27 seconds left on the clock. Shortly after, Gabrijel Burburan scored for Primorje, giving them an 11:10 lead. This goal turned out to be the final one of the match. Ivan Vukojevic scored four goals for Primorje, while Duje Akrap contributed three goals for Mornar.

An encounter between KPK Korcula and Solars was similar. At halftime, the rivals were tied 7:7. After the third quarter, it stood 11:11. KPK took the lead twice in the fourth period (12:11 and 13:12). However, Solaris scored the last two goals of the match. An experienced Andrija Vlahovic netted a winner (14:13) three minutes before the end.
