Last month Posh and Becks’ eldest son Brooklyn issued a shocking six-page Instagram statement about how hard he found growing up in the glare of the public eye.
Brooklyn claimed his parents had placed “Brand Beckham” above everything else and manipulated media narratives. He insisted Sir David and Lady Victoria had attempted “endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn’t stopped”. Brooklyn further alleged his wife had suffered “disrespected” from his family.
Princess says she’s reserving judgement on the Beckham feud. She told The Sun: “I think with situations like that, there’s always two sides to a story,” she explains. “I would never read something online and base an opinion on it, especially on someone’s family. I know how it feels for people to do that to me and my family.
“It upsets me when it happens to me, because it’s my family – I feel protective. I don’t like how people feel so entitled to comment on it. If people experienced it with their own family, they wouldn’t like it. It’s crazy some of the things people say that just aren’t true.”
Elsewhere in the interview with The Sun, she shared her own family drama. She expressed guilt that she upset her mother by not including her in her ITV show, The Princess Diaries. The show aired on ITV in 2025 and followed Princess as she turned 18. It included her dad, but not her mum.
Princess shared how not including her mum “caused so much family drama” and that this “really upset” her. She said she “genuinely felt bad” and that it “ruined” the launch of the show for her because it “was causing arguments”. The teenager said she “felt like it was all my fault”.
