The Pussycat Dolls have finally confirmed their reunion – five years after their previous comeback was called off due to the coronavirus pandemic and a brutal feud
Don’t Cha wish you could see the Pussycat Dolls? Well, now you can – Nicole Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts and Kimberly Wyatt have reunited, five years after their first comeback was axed.
Now, many fans will be wondering why just three members of the chart-topping girl group have reunited without Carmit Bachar, Melody Thornton and Jessica Sutta. The Mirror revealed in September that Kimberly was one of the driving forces behind the reunion, although she had faced hurdles getting all six women on the same page.
Today, the group confirmed their huge 53-date world tour, with a string of shows in the UK, as well as their new single, Club Song. The group, catapulted to global fame in 2005 with their debut single, went on to become one of the most recognisable girl groups, selling 15 million albums and 40 million singles worldwide – despite releasing just two studio albums.

Here, we take a look at their reunion and why three stars are missing amid rumours of a feud, following a lawsuit with former manager Robin Antin, who sued the band. Reports claimed that Scherzinger had signed to take 49 per cent of the tour’s earnings, but wouldn’t get on stage unless this rose to 75 per cent, including overall creative control.
The dispute was eventually settled in November 2024, with no further details being disclosed, while Nicole later confirmed she would consider another reunion. Previously, Kimberly told us that there had been “a lot” going on between Scherzinger and Antin, which resulted in the legal battle.
Reunion
In September, we revealed that Kimberly was working on a new Pussycat Dolls project. However, the star admits she found it “difficult” to get her five bandmates on the same page. “I’d like to think so,” she said when asked if there could be a reunion. She went on to exclusively tell the Mirror: “It’s really difficult to get everybody on the same page.
“We’re in a place now where women need to support women and come together to create something really beautiful. I’ve always felt like maybe that could happen. There’s so many things going on that make me feel like maybe it won’t at the same time.” “I’ve got a documentary which could be made if the girls want to do it,” she revealed. She went on to say: “But getting women all on the same page is a difficult task. I can’t help but always try because I love it.”
“There’s so much to unpack,” she said. But it’s not just the Dolls’ chart success which Kimberly is proud of; instead, it was the decade of hard work to prove themselves, often performing at bars in Los Angeles. “With the likes of Scarlett Johansson, Britney Spears, Kelly Clarkson, there’s just so many people that would come and be a part of the dolls,” she gushed.
She added: “I mean, starting at The Viper Room with Johnny Depp – I would love to tell that story, it’s the best of the Noughties, right there on Sunset Strip in LA, so we’ll see.”
“I’m so proud, Pussycat Doll once, Pussycat Doll for life,” she exclaimed, adding: “I’ve had the most amazing experiences meeting so many brilliant people around the world.”
Carmit Bachar
Original member of the band, Carmit, is not featured in the new line-up. While Carmit has not issued a statement about the reunion, she has re-shared posts on social media. The singer and dancer shared a string of posts from Lil Eddie, during which he says: “I have been very close friends with a lot of the Pussycat Dolls, Carmit, we’re really close friends. I’ve worked with Nicole, I’ve been a singer with Ashley and Jessica, featured together, and written a lot of music together.
“I’m very upset about this ‘Pussycat Doll reunion’, I’m no smoke without none of you girls, but I do have a problem when I see my other home girls who were very instrumental in building the brand, not a part of this reunion, this doesn’t sit well with me, somebody needs to do something and fix this. Everybody is important to the brand, Carmit is very important to the band,” before adding that Carmit was enough in her own right, having worked with the likes of Beyoncé and Michael Jackson.
Carmit later went on to share a post from a fan which read: “It ain’t the @pussycatdolls if @therealcarmit isn’t there.” Earlier this week, ahead of International Women’s Day, Carmit disclosed on social media that when she left the band in 2008, this wasn’t her decision.
“People have no idea that wasn’t my decision,” she claimed. She added: “The label gave me an ultimatum… Choose between the project I spent years co-creating, The Zodiac Show, or come back to the PCD Tour. I wanted to do both, but that wasn’t an option.”
Jessica Sutta
Jessica is no stranger to airing what she’s really thinking. Throughout the Covid pandemic, Sutta was vocal about her views on the vaccine after suffering a devastating injury following her own experience. At the time, Sutta was vocal about no longer “blindly” trusting the medical system and vowed she was willing to risk her career to make people think twice.
As the PCD reunion was teased on social media, she wasted no time airing her thoughts. She instantly took to Instagram and re-shared a quote on her story, and tagged pal and former bandmate, Carmit. The quote read: “F**k Off. (Phr.) When you say it backwards, it’s still the same but in a British accent,” alongside the caption “@therealcarmit lol”.
She later re-shared another quote, reading: “It’s all about who stands in the rain with you, when they also have a choice to be dry. Remember that.”
Melody Thornton
Actress and singer Melody wasn’t part of the doomed 2019 reunion, and she’s not on the bill this time, either. However, while many fans believed that this was down to friction, this wasn’t the case. Instead, Melody remains close friends with Nicole, and she is the only member of the band she follows on Instagram.
However, Melody explained she felt undervalued in the group as Nicole had the majority of the vocals, with her bandmates mainly dancing. Melody said on ITV’s Lorraine: “They said, ‘we’re going to have Nicole do all of the recording, you’re going to have to learn to dance with the rest of the girls.
“And for me, it really affected my confidence because I wasn’t using my best asset [my voice]. And I was the weakest dancer.” Speaking previously, Melody revealed that she had engaged in discussions about taking part in the 2019 reunion, saying: “It was me, I had people on my team saying ‘I’d hate for you to miss out on a cash-grab, an opportunity’, I don’t want to live my life on a cash-grab. . If that makes me stupid to some people, if it seems really brave, and that’s a challenging thing to face and move forward – OK, let’s go with that.
“Ultimately, I’m not there, but all the best.” Meanwhile, Ashley said in 2019: “Mel’s got a lot of projects going on in life. She was included in all of this, she’s our sister, the door is always open, but it just wasn’t the right timing for her right now. We wish her well.”
