The wife of Jets defensive tackle Quinnen Williams feels grateful for “the highs and the lows” during his tenure in New York.
Maranda Williams shared an emotional message on her Instagram Story after the Jets sent the three-time Pro Bowler to the Cowboys in a blockbuster before Tuesday’s deadline.
“Words can’t describe the gratitude I feel,” Maranda wrote Wednesday, including an image of the couple hugging on the sideline and a white heart emoji. “God we thank you for the highs and the lows.”
Maranda also reshared Williams’ farewell Instagram post to New York, writing, “Thank you NY.”
Williams — who was rumored to be unhappy as Gang Green is at a 1-7 mark— has been a crucial piece of the Jets defense since they selected the Alabama product with the third overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
He has made the Pro Bowl in each of the last three seasons and was first-team All-Pro in 2022.
The Jets are getting a 2026 second-rounder, a 2027 first-rounder and defensive tackle Mazi Smith from Dallas in the deal.
It came amid a Jets fire sale that rocked the NFL before Tuesday’s 4 p.m. deadline — including a trade that sent star cornerback Sauce Gardner to the Colts for two first-round picks.
The moves signal a full rebuild under new coach Aaron Glenn and general manager Darren Mougey.
In his post, Williams sent an emotional goodbye to Jets fans and his teammates, and said he’s “excited for what’s next” in Dallas.

“New York will always have a special place in my heart,” he wrote. “To my teammates, coaches, and the entire Jets organization, thank you for believing in me and helping me develop on and off the field.
“To the fans, thank you for embracing a kid from Alabama and showing love through every high and low. You welcomed me with open arms, and gave me a place to grow. Your energy and passion made every game unforgettable.”
