Selections based on a heavy track.
Race 1
4. Silver Serenade was a strong winner in maiden company at Gundagai three starts ago before finishing third at Moruya when only just run down late. She since gave a bold sight when stepping up in grade at Rosehill in Saturday grade when finishing fourth on a heavy track when beaten less than a length. She only needs to bring that form here to be rated the one to beat. 3. Winning Emotions has also been racing well with a second at Moruya being followed by a last-start fourth at Rosehill when finishing off well. He can be thereabouts again. 2. Manwari has been taking on Benchmark races in town of late without success but can improve back to this grade. 6. Zoutempus was midfield at this track when last produced and can improve on that performance.
How to play it: Silver Serenade WIN.

Race 2
5. Royaltown is a Wootton Bassett gelding making his debut here after one trial at this track in which he was midfield behind Brucey. Pierre Boudvillain takes the ride here which is a good pointer to his chances after he was aboard in the trial. 7. Classic Touch resumed from a spell for her second start in a race when third here behind Midnight Moose and warrants respect. 2. Central Otago ran home well for a third at Wagga on debut and can be in the mix on the strength of that. 3. Dunna Runna was midfield at the Sapphire Coast when last produced but can improve on that here.
How to play it: Royaltown WIN.
Race 3
6. Canadian Fling ran home well enough on debut when third at Gosford and backed that up with a second at Scone when racing on the speed and fighting on strongly. She should take running down again. 1. Feazabeel resumed from a spell with a third at Warwick Farm when safely held but should derive benefit from that run and be thereabouts again in this company. 2. Valentiago ran second at Bathurst before failing at Kembla Grange. He can improve here without surprising. 5. Red Flag failed to beat a runner home at his first start but bears close watching here.
How to play it: Canadian Fling WIN.
Race 4
3. Snap Decision ran well at Canberra last time out when finishing sixth at Canberra when beaten less than three lengths. He has a win and a second from five starts and is poised to bounce back to form here. 1. Ken’ker fought on well when close-up in fourth on the Beaumont track at Newcastle last time out, while 6. Tillman has been placed at Orange and Parkes at his latest two starts and can’t be discounted. 5. Sir Sublime ran a solid race when a last-start fourth at the Sapphire Coast and a repeat of that would have him in the mix again here.
How to play it: Snap Decision WIN.
Race 5
1. Turf Luck was down the track on debut at Kembla Grange but then showed improvement at his second start when second at this track. He’s on the up and warrants thought against these. 7. Crestwood is on debut after three trials and won the latest at Warwick Farm after being placed in the first two. 5. The Way Ahead led them up when resuming with a sixth at Wyong but is capable of sharp improvement here. 6. Celestial Grace finished last when resuming at Kembla Grange and can also turn things around here.
How to play it: Turf Luck WIN.
Race 6
6. Samurai is first-up from a spell here and hasn’t raced since the end of September when finishing 10th in a Highway at Rosehill when beaten three lengths. He is rarely far away with two wins and eight placings from 21 starts and is expected to sprint well fresh here. 8. Zielle won narrowly at Newcastle before a close-up fifth at this track last time out behind Sea Admiral. She can make an impact again. 9. Crimson Miss won a maiden at Kembla Grange in May and has had two starts back from a spell for a third at Hawkesbury before a last-start ninth at Kembla Grange. She’s worth another chance here. 3. Party Doll ran well when second at the Sapphire Coast at her last-start and has claims.
How to play it: Samurai EACH WAY.
Race 7
9. Jenni Divine had been racing well before breaking through in good style to win a Super Maiden at Wagga when last produced. She led in that event and fought on well to score. Another bold showing is on the cards here. 3. Midnight Moose had trialled well before making at this track and justifying favouritism to score an easy win. He looks talented and should take beating again. 8. Group Chat was back in form when finishing a last-start fourth at this track and a repeat of that would have her in the finish of this. 2. Maritime Express followed a fourth at this track with a second at Gundagai last time out and can be in the finish of this on the strength of a Nowra win four starts ago.
How to play it: Jenni Divine EACH WAY.
Best Bets: Race 1 (4) Silver Serenade.
Race 3 (6) Canadian Fling.
Best Value: Race 7 (9) Jenni Divine.
