Selections based on a good track.
Race 1
6. Frostisen ran second in a trial at Wyong in September and then won two trials at Wyong and on the Beaumont track at Newcastle before making her debut with a second as favourite at Wyong after leading. With the benefit of race experience, she can go on better here. 8. Silent Uprising had a number of trials before making her debut with a fourth at Port Macquarie when working home well. She can be thereabouts again. 1. Arato is a Nicconi gelding having his first race start after two trials, the last of which at Rosehill he won. He looks to have the potential to make an impact. 3. Artfull is a Headwater gelding on debut for Sara Ryan after two trials and could show up into the placings.

Race 2
7. Unbridled Storm had three starts in April and May last year, and he failed to make an impact in any of them. He’s had a spell since and has had two solid trials leading into this return. He is first up from a spell and is poised to show up from the inside gate. 6. The Iron Star has been just behind the placings in each of two runs back from a spell and a forward showing is on the cards in this. 4. Stock Road has finished second at Bathurst and Queanbeyan in his past two starts and is racing well enough to be in the mix. 1. Derry City Felix ran second on debut at Kembla Grange and has run fourth in two runs since.
How to play it: Unbridled Storm each way.
Race 3
1. Above The Law ran second in his first three starts and was then fourth at Kembla Grange before being spelled. He resumes here after two trials and gets his chance to score a maiden win. 8. In A Tizzy was midfield at Rosehill on debut and looks to have the talent to give this a shake. 13. Lupa Capitolina resumes from a spell having had three starts at the back end of last year when she wasn’t disgraced in any of them. 2. Dwight ran home well at Wyong last time out and can show up again.
How to play it: Above The Law to win.
Race 4
2. Commanding Artist ran a solid last-start second at Kembla Grange when racing on the speed and holding on well. He’s drawn the inside gate here and should be prominent. 3. Sir Loyne won at Wyong before being spelled, and followed a resuming second at Kembla Grange with a last-start fifth at Wyong. 7. Ole Miss justified short-priced favouritism to score a strong last-start win at Tamworth and can go on with the job. 1. Malabar is fourth up from a spell and can run a bold race.
How to play it: Commanding Artist to win.
Race 5
7. Savvy Spy gave a good sight when second at Canterbury two starts ago and then led them up when midfield at the same track last time out. He should push forward again and take plenty of running down. 1. Lugarno was back in winning form when scoring at Newcastle when last produced and has the ability to go on with it. 4. Afloat ran a place last start at this track and has claims again, while 5. Magicon can also get into the minor money from the good draw.
How to play it: Savvy Spy to win.
Race 6
14. So D’Oro ran well when midfield at Wyong when resuming and then followed that up with a close-up last-start second at Wyong as an odds-on favourite. She should appreciate the extra distance and gets her chance to break through. 10. Sarapo resumed with a solid third at Warwick Farm before a midfield finish at the same track and is ready to peak here. 7. Iron Legend beat home Sarapo when they clashed at Warwick Farm and has claims, while 6. Explicit ran third when beating Sarapo and Iron Legend at Warwick Farm and can’t be taken lightly.
How to play it: So D’Oro to win.
Race 7
3. Il Passero has shown ability in his career and was back in winning form when scoring a victory in easy fashion at Newcastle. He has the benefit of gate one in this event and should get a good run. 2. Duke Of Camden ran second at this track before being spelled, then ran a close-up fourth in a trial at Warwick Farm before resuming with another second placing at Kembla Grange. He’s a consistent type that can be in the thick of things again. 1. Vetwelve had been racing well before finishing last in the Four Pillars in November. He resumed with a ninth at Randwick and has had a trial since then. 6. Lone Artist had his first run for a new stable when beaten less than two lengths into fourth last time out.
