Rajasthan govt transfers 34 IPS officers in major bureaucratic reshuffle, Jaipur gets new commissioner; check full list here

The Rajasthan government has transferred 34 IPS officers, including key Director General (DG)-rank reshuffles. Senior IPS officer Sachin Mittal has been appointed as the new Commissioner of Jaipur amid a major administrative reshuffle in the state. According to an official order, Mittal, a 1996-batch IPS officer, has replaced Biju George Joseph, who took charge in August 2023. Joseph, a 1995-batch IPS officer, has been appointed as ADG (Personnel).

3. Sanjay Agarwal has been transferred from the post of DG (Intelligence) to DG (Law and Order).
4. Vishal Bansal, who was serving as ADG (Law and Order), has been named ADG (SOG).
5. Govind Gupta, a 1993-batch IPS officer, has been appointed DG (Anti-Corruption Bureau).
6. Ashok Rathore has been appointed as DG (Prisons), succeeding IPS Gupta.
7. IPS Anil Paliwal appointed as the new DG (Training and Traffic)
8. Anand Srivastava has been made DG (SOG).
9. VK Singh, who previously served as ADG (SOG-ATS), has been shifted as ADG (Law and Order).
10. Dinesh MN, known for leading several high-profile operations, has been appointed ADG (Anti-Terrorist Squad and Anti-Gangster Task Force) in Jaipur.
