Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna hosted a gathering for the Telugu press fraternity on Wednesday afternoon in Hyderabad. Days after their wedding in Udaipur, the duo looked every bit the quintessential Telugu vadhuvu-varulu (bride and groom). They addressed the press in what felt like an intimate family celebration.
“We are officially a couple now,” said the Arjun Reddy actor. “Life is unfolding beautifully; we are growing older together. I truly believe the Telugu people now have a daughter-in-law in Rashmika. Please give her your wholehearted love and blessings,” he added. The Kingdom actor further said, “To me, the Telugu press and the people will always feel like home.”
Rashmika could not hide her signature blush. “We have stepped into this new chapter hand in hand,” said the Pushpa 2: The Rule actress. “We have taken a major step together in life and seek all your blessings to make it complete,” she added.

In a gesture reflecting their cultural roots, the couple organised a traditional Banthi Bojanam for 200 fans a day earlier. Setting aside VIP formalities, they personally served meals to some attendees. The act underscored their grounded nature despite their stardom. Vijay hails from the Telangana region, while Rashmika is from Karnataka.
Later today, a grand wedding reception is scheduled at a star hotel in Hyderabad, with several high-profile guests expected to attend. Security arrangements are reportedly stringent, and dignitaries, including Revanth Reddy, are likely to be present.
Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna first met on the sets of Geetha Govindam in 2018 and later reunited for Dear Comrade. They will next share screen space in Ranabaali, slated for release in theatres on September 11 this year, marking their first on-screen collaboration after marriage. While Rashmika is also shooting for Mysaa, Vijay is fast wrapping up Rowdy Janardhana.
