Actress Rhea Chakraborty has opened up about her thoughts on egg freezing and the personal dilemma surrounding the decision. Speaking about her recent experience, she said, “I am 33 and I recently visited a gynaecologist for egg freezing. I am thinking about doing it.”
She further explained the emotional conflict involved in taking this step. “It is such a weird place to be. Your body clock is telling you that you need to have kids, but your mind is telling you that you already have a kid — your brand, your business — and you have to nurture that baby.”
Rhea admitted the process can be difficult but believes women should consider it if it helps them. “Egg freezing is torturous, but do it if it helps,” she said. “At 32, I felt I had much more to accomplish in my career before thinking about starting a family.”
