Rob Reiner’s masseuse attended the Hollywood film director’s address in Los Angeles on Sunday in order to help him and his distressed wife after they had argued with their son Nick

Rob Reiner’s masseuse attended his home on Sunday, after the director was murdered, it has been claimed. He had booked a massage on the day he and his wife, Michele, had been brutally killed after the couple allegedly had their throats slit by a relative.

But just hours before they were killed, it’s claimed that Rob and his son, Nick, who is currently being held in custody after being booked for murder, had argued while attending a party hosted by Conan O’Brien on Saturday night.

Reports claim that Rob and his son Nick had a “very loud argument”. After the dispute, sources claim that Rob and Michele then left the party.

A source told US outlet TMZ that Michele had been telling friends in her final months that she and Rob were at their “wits’ end” over Nick and his alleged substance abuse, saying: “We’ve tried everything.” But now, it’s emerged that Rob’s masseuse visited the director’s home in Brentwood, Los Angeles, at 2pm on Sunday to help him and his wife de-stress.

However, the masseuse rang the bell, knocked several times, but received no answer from the property. The Mail claims that Rob and Michele’s daughter, Romy, who lives in a neighbouring property, headed over to the mansion and discovered her parents had been brutally murdered.

The LAPD Chief of Police has since confirmed that Nick, 32, has been booked for the murder of his parents. Documents obtained by the Mirror reveal that he has had any bail denied and is currently being held in custody before an attorney will consider the case on Tuesday.

Speaking at a press conference on Monday, Jim McDonnell said that the two bodies have been identified as Rob and Michele during a press conference on Monday, adding that their son Nick is a suspect in the case and has been “booked for murder”. He said: “The information at this stage is still limited. Our hearts go out to the family and friends of the Reiners. It was a tragic incident.

“Yesterday, December 14, about 3:40 in the afternoon, LAPD responded to a residence, the residence of Rob and Michele Reiner, located in Los Angeles West Provision. At that location, they found two deceased adults, a male and a female. Through the night, working with the coroner’s office, they were able to identify them definitively as Rob and Michele Reiner.

“We have our Robbery and Homicide Division handling the investigation. They worked throughout the night on this case and were able to take into custody Nick Reiner, a suspect in this case. He was subsequently booked for murder and is being held on a $4million bail.”

A spokesperson for the Reiner family said: “It is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Michele and Rob Reiner. We are heartbroken by this sudden loss, and we ask for privacy during this unbelievably difficult time.”

Meanwhile, Rob’s eldest daughter, Tracy Reiner, who was adopted by the star during his first marriage to Penny Marshall, said she was in “shock.” Speaking to NBC, she said: “I came from the greatest family ever. I don’t know what to say. I’m in shock.”
