Romeo Beckham proved he is firmly ‘team mum and dad’ as he unveiled his latest tattoo – as the family’s ongoing feud with older brother Brooklyn continues

Romeo Beckham has appeared to make a dig at his estranged brother Brooklyn by getting a new tattoo – as his older sibling reportedly got any inked references to their parents removed from his body.

The 23-year-old model and football player took to Instagram to reveal his latest body art, which is a show of solidarity to his mum Victoria Beckham and dad David Beckham. Posting a photo of his new tattoo to Instagram, the word ‘family’ in italic writing can be seen on the back of his neck under a cross and wings, which he already had.

Underneath the post – shared in Romeo’s stories, but posted on Soho tattoo parlour Fine Line Hearts Club’s account – fans wrote how much they ‘loved’ his new body art. But one person hinted at the ongoing family feud, commenting: “Minus Brooklyn.” Another chimed in: “Family is FOREVER.”

The Beckham boys are known for paying tribute to each other with their tattoos. But in recent weeks, it’s claimed Brooklyn – who released a scathing statement cutting his family off last month – has had some of his covered up.

It’s said the 26-year-old – who is married to American billionaire heiress Nicola Peltz, 31 – recently removed a tattoo tribute to his dad. Looking as though he is trying to remove any trace of their connection, Brooklyn was recently spotted with an altered tattoo on his right arm.

The inking initially showed an anchor and included the word ‘Dad’ in the centre. Underneath, it read: “Love you Bust.”

Buster is thought to be a shared nickname between Brooklyn and his dad in happier times. But the words are now thought to have been removed. And it’s said to have been redesigned to show three nondescript shapes across the anchor.

A source told The Sun: “Brooklyn’s had laser treatment on the writing. He wanted it gone.” They added: “There is so much hurt and pain on his side, it would not be genuine to keep such a tribute on his body.”

It’s thought this is the latest family memory to disappear -after Brooklyn allegedly had a tattoo dedicated to his mum covered over that was on his chest. The tattoo previously said the words ‘mama’s boy’.

Despite Brooklyn’s attempts to distance himself from the Beckhams, dad David continues to wear his own marking, regarding his son with pride. The former footballer posted a photo that shows the ‘Buster’ neck tattoo in honour of his son.

In his explosive statement last month, Brooklyn admitted he has no intention of reconciling with his family. Instead, he is focusing on his life stateside with wife Nicola – and it’s said they soon plan to adopt a child together.

Posting on Instagram, Brooklyn fumed: “I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life. For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family. The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.”

He continued: “Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they’ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade. But I believe the truth always comes out.”

Setting the record straight about the rumours the family rift stemmed from his wife Nicola, Brooklyn clarified: “The narrative that my wife controls me is completely backwards. I have been controlled by my parents for most of my life. I grew up with overwhelming anxiety. For the first time in my life, since stepping away from my family, that anxiety has disappeared.”

He ended the post by saying: “I wake up every morning grateful for the life I chose, and have found peace and relief. My wife and I do not want a life shaped by image, press, or manipulation. All we want is peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family.”
