Rylan Clark’s BBC Radio 2 co-star couldn’t help but notice a change in him, with the presenter confessing he’d undergone a cosmetic procedure on his face just one day before
Rylan Clark, 37, admitted he’s “had something done” after co-star Sally Boazman, 68, quizzed the presenter on his fresh-faced appearance as they reunited for his BBC Radio 2 show on Saturday afternoon.
The traffic news reporter complimented the former X Factor star, telling him: “You’re looking very good these days,” before asking: “Have you gone under the knife recently?”
Rylan, who has always been open about having “bits and bobs” of cosmetic surgery done, including his famously white teeth, Botox and fillers, confessed: “Weirdly, I had something done yesterday, which was, ugh, such a trauma, I’m not gonna lie, what I had done.
“I won’t go into it over the radio,” prompting Sally to enquire about further details, to which Rylan explained: “Because it was just quite invasive on the faces! Yeah, it was very invasive.”
“Would it do me any good, do you think?” Sally asked, to which Rylan insisted it wouldn’t, before she retorted: “I’m beyond help, that’s what you mean, isn’t it?”
Clarifying his point, Rylan referenced a chat he’d had with his 73-year-old mum, Linda about getting further cosmetic surgery, hinting at potentially having a facelift in the future.
The TV and radio personality shared: “I said to Linda yesterday, you know, all of this ain’t going to do anything now, it’s time to go in for…”
“The big one,” Sally interjected, completing Rylan’s sentence, with the reality star mischievously suggesting: “So, if you want to come… I’m joking! You’re beautiful!”
Joining in with the banter, Sally quipped: “How unpleasant! Listen, if I’ve got a spare 30 grand, I don’t think I’d spend it on that.”
However, Rylan was quick to point out that he wouldn’t be investing that amount of money, exclaiming: “30 grand! I ain’t spending that on Linda’s face!
“I’d rather pick her up by the head, and shake her about, and chop it off myself! 30 grand – she’s not Kris Jenner!”
Rylan’s mum often features on his Radio 2 show, with the Celebrity Gogglebox star having regular on air chats with her famous son over the phone.
In January, Linda told listeners she’d suffered a nasty fall after mistaking ice for water while putting the rubbish out, leaving her with a fractured shoulder.
Rylan addressed the moment he found out about his mum’s injury, as he explained: “Well that was a lovely phone call I got that morning, you on your way to the hospital.
“But it could’ve been worse, it could’ve been your arm and your leg like we’ve had before.”
