Amidst the recent developments in Hansika’s life, her ex-sister-in-law, Muskaan Nancy James, shared cryptic, and people started thinking it was a dig at the actress’ life. But now, Muskaan finally reacted to all the media reports circulating and asked not to associate her with Hansika’s life.

After Hansika’s divorce reports circulated, Muskaan shared her usual Instagram stories, and many believed that the cryptic IG stories were a dig at the actress. On March 13, 2026, Muskaan reacted to the media associating her with the actress. She thanked them for always being supportive and even took a slight dig by calling Hansika’s world ‘absolutely fake’. She further added that she doesn’t have paid PR, and time will reveal the truth. Her note can be read as:
“Requesting a few social media platforms to please keep me away from someone else’s life. You have always been supportive and understanding. And I truly appreciate that. Kindly don’t associate me with someone’s absolutely fake world. I don’t have paid PR, let time reveal the truth. ‘Sab samay ka khel hai’, peace, love and karma.”
For the unversed, it all started after Muskaan’s particular IG stories caught the media’s attention. In one of her IG stories, she posed with her furbaby and, below it, she wrote that she has nothing to do with anyone’s life. In another story, Muskaan penned that ‘AI is busy in image-cleaning duty’. However, these cryptic posts didn’t mention anyone’s name, the way it was published at the time of Hansika’s divorce reports circulating, forced many to think it was a dig at her.

However, rumours of the couple’s separation made the rounds after a Reddit user highlighted in a post that Muskaan had not even attended Hansika Motwani’s wedding festivities. And the pictures from her wedding had been deleted from her social media handle.
After a few years, Muskaan filed a police complaint against her estranged husband, sister-in-law, Hansika Motwani and her mom-in-law, Jyoti Motwani. The actress has registered the complaint under varied sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. It included 498-A (cruelty), 323 (causing hurt), 504 (intentional insult), 506 (criminal intimidation), and 34 (common intention).

Hansika and Sohael got married in December 2022, in a grand wedding at Mundota Fort and Palace in Jaipur. The wedding was even broadcast as a series on JioHotstar. However, the couple parted ways after a year of marriage. The rumours surfaced after Hansika removed several videos and photos with Sohael. However, she maintained a dignified silence on the matter.
As per a recent report in India Today, Hansika had approached the court to file for a divorce by mutual consent. However, she had decided not to make any alimony claims as part of the separation. Hansika was represented by advocate Adnan Shaikh. He claimed that the couple had been living away from each other since 2024.
Regarding what led to their divorce, it is stated that the two realised their temperaments, opinions and lifestyles were significantly different. This would often lead to frequent disagreements between them. The report further stated that the couple’s parents, relatives, and friends attempted to help them reconcile, but their efforts to mend the relationship failed. The two have been living apart since July 2, 2024. They both have submitted their affidavits confirming that they don’t have any claims or demands against each other.
