Salim Khan Is Out of Danger Says Salman Khans Race 3 Co-star Daisy Shah

Veteran screenwriter Salim Khan was admitted to the Lilavati Hospital a few weeks ago, sparking concern about his health among fans and members of the film industry. Now, Daisy Shah, who shared the screen with Salman Khan in Race 3 and Jai Ho, has shared an update on Khan’s health.

Speaking to Filmygyan, the actress said, “I couldn’t meet Salim sir, but I am constantly in touch with Salman sir and his family. Salim Sir is fine now. He is stable. The surgery went well, it was a success, and he is under observation. But he is out of danger.”

While the Khan family has remained tight-lipped about the screenwriter’s health, Dr Jalil Parkar, who is treating him, shared that he had suffered a brain haemorrhage.

He was quoted saying, “There was minimal brain haemorrhage. A small procedure was done this morning and it was accomplished. He is fine and stable, but is still on a ventilator. By tomorrow, hopefully, we will take him off the ventilator. All in all, he’s doing quite well. Keeping his age in mind, the recovery time is longer.”

Besides Salim Khan’s family, several members of the film industry visited the veteran writer in the hospital. These include Shah Rukh Khan, Sangeeta Bijlani, Javed Akhtar, Sajid Nadiadwala, and Zeeshan Siddiqui, among others.

Salim Khan was last seen in the public eye during Sohail Khan’s birthday party last month. He also rang in his 90th birthday in November last year. Salim Khan remains one of the most influential screenwriters in Hindi cinema. He began his journey as an actor before moving behind the scenes. His writing helped shift mainstream storytelling towards morally complex heroes and socially resonant themes.

That vision found its most powerful expression in his iconic partnership with Javed Akhtar. As the legendary duo Salim–Javed, they gave Indian cinema several classics such as Zanjeer, Andaz, Deewaar, Sholay and Don.
