Sam Darnold had more than a Super Bowl ring on his mind Sunday.

Moments after the Seahawks sealed their 29-13 victory over the Patriots in the big game at Levi’s Stadium, Seattle’s quarterback found his loved ones on the field and immediately dove into wedding mode ahead of his upcoming nuptials with fiancée Katie Hoofnagle.

“We’ve got about a month until the wedding,” Darnold said in a video shared Wednesday on the NFL’s Instagram account. “I was just telling Maria Taylor, the one who interviewed me, I was like, yeah, is it weird that I’m thinking about the wedding right now and that it’s in a month, and I’m like, frickin, I’m excited, but also just, it’s a lot, we got a lot to do. But, it’s exciting stuff.”

Darnold, 28, and Hoofnagle announced their engagement last summer ahead of the QB’s first season in Seattle.

The couple made their romance Instagram official in 2023.

Hoofnagle, a University of South Carolina alum, celebrated Darnold’s journey in a heartfelt Instagram post Tuesday.

“And despite everything, you remained kind. in moments where it would’ve been so easy to make excuses or put the blame on somebody else, you never wavered. your patience, respect, discipline, and humility have continuously shone through, even on the hardest days of the journey,” she began.

“It’s an honor and a privilege to share you with the world on Sundays, and I’m so grateful that you finally got your flowers on the biggest stage. as long as I’m alive, you’ll always have someone who is proud of you in everything that you do.”

The Jets’ third overall pick in 2018, Darnold was considered a bust earlier in his career following rocky stints in New York and Carolina.

He spent the 2023 season as Brock Purdy’s backup in San Francisco before moving on to Minnesota, where he shifted the narrative about his career by orchestrating a surprise 14-3 campaign.

The Seahawks then signed Darnold to a three-year, $100.5 million pact in free agency last March.

Darnold and the Seahawks commemorated their Super Bowl victory on Wednesday with a parade.
