Later, he appeared in Ye Jo Hai Zindagi, where his impeccable comic timing further cemented his image as the “Comedy King.”

Soon, Satish became a household name with his memorable roles in Ghar Jamai, Filmi Chakkar, and Sarabhai vs Sarabhai. Even today his cult classic television show Sarabhai vs Sarabhai remains a part of the pop culture. Satish Shah, who took his last breath on Saturday evening, had his funeral today, held at his Bandra residence. He was laid to rest amid tearful goodbyes from family and friends at Pawan Hans crematorium located in Vile Parle West. Several well-known faces from the film and TV fraternity came to pay their final respects. Among the many, his Sarabhai vs Sarabhai co-stars Rupali Ganguly, Sumeet Raghavan, Ratna Pathak Shah, Rajesh Kumar, Deven Bhojani, and JD Majethia also arrived to bid an emotional farewell.

Rupali Ganguly, aka ‘Monisha’ from Sarabhai vs Sarabha,i played Satish’s on-screen daughter-in-law. She was seen breaking down in her car as she arrived at the funeral. The emotional moment was captured by paparazzi and left fans deeply moved.

Actors and filmmakers Jackie Shroff, David Dhawan, Kunal Kohli, Johnny Lever, Naseeruddin Shah, Aanjjan Srivastav, Neil Nitin Mukesh, and Ashoke Pandit were also spotted paying their respects.
