Scarlett Moffatt is back on I’m A Celebrity to defend her Queen of the Jungle crown after she won the ITV show in 2016
Scarlett Moffatt is fighting to win another I’m A Celebrity crown in the new All Stars series. A string of celebrities who have already taken part in the show are returning to the jungle to be crowned a ‘legend’ of the hit ITV shows.
The former Gogglebox star will be heading back into the jungle for the new series alongside a string of other famous faces including Gemma Collins, Sir Mo Farah, Harry Redknapp, Adam Thomas, Ashley Roberts, David Haye, Seann Walsh, Sinitta, Craig Charles, Jimmy Bullard, and Beverley Callard.
Scarlett won the show back in 2016 and is returning 10 years later, in what she has described as “much harder and intense”. As Scarlett heads back to the jungle, we take a look at some burning questions about the star.
What happened between Scarlett and Ant and Dec?
Scarlett will be reunited with Ant and Dec in the jungle, years after she was axed from their Saturday Night Takeaway show. Scarlett was on the show for three years before it was suddenly announced she wouldn’t return in 2020.
Her exit from the series had fans talking but at the time, a source stressed to us that she wasn’t being replaced and the show was just changing formats, which is what had caused the change. Scarlett has spoken highly of the pair, explaining how they were there for her when she first moved to the capital. She explained: “When I first moved to London, they were so lovely and asked me what I missed most about being away from home.
“I said: ‘Sunday dinners with the family’. They invited me round a few times to have dinner. They are lovely people. They say ‘don’t meet your heroes’, but when your heroes are them it’s OK. I can’t wait to give them a big hug.”
Back in 2018, Scarlett caused a storm when she shared a bedroom selfie and accidentally revealed that she sleeps with a picture of her and Ant McPartlin next to her bed.
Scarlett explained at the time: “It’s a picture of me as Mary Poppins. It even beats me in the jungle, it’s like the highlight of my working life. To do the Saturday Night Takeaway finale in Disney World, honestly, was my dream. So every morning when I wake up and see that photo, I’m like, ‘I’m living my dream’.”
Weight loss controversy
Scarlett has recently been showing off her incredible weight loss. She had been open about her body image struggles and she released a weight loss DVD in late 2016 where she shared her tips with fans.
It was claimed that a host of short workouts had helped her lose three stone, but it later emerged that she actually attended a training boot camp in secret and embraced a gruelling diet of just 300 calories a day to shed the pounds.
In an interview with The Mirror about her recent changes, she said she hadn’t lost weight but was dressing differently. She said: “Honestly I have not lost any weight! This is the mad thing right. Even my friends yesterday text me saying ‘Oh my God, Scarlett, you you look amazing!’ Literally, I am the same size! I don’t know if it’s just because I’m happy, or my cortisol levels are down or I’m not as bloated or…I honestly have no idea!
“But I legit am the same! I was getting people coming up to me going ‘Wow you’ve done so well!’ I’m the same! I’m literally the same! I’m dressing a bit different. Maybe that’s why. But I’ll take the compliment! It’s really unjust, though, I feel like I’m cheating!”
Family now and quitting Gogglebox
Scarlett quit Gogglebox in 2016 to participate in the jungle show, and as a result her parents and little sister Ava were also axed from the show. A year later, when one fan asked about her exit, she said: “We are gutted too, thought my mam and dad (and little Ava) would still be able to do it but we will still be watching.”
Scarlett’s sister Ava was just eight when they joined the show and is now in her late teens. Marking her 18th birthday in 2024, she shared: “My little sister is 18!! Ava despite our 15 year age gap I could only have dreamed for how close we are. Watching you grow up into the amazingly kind, intelligent, beautiful, bloody hilarious lady has been a blessing.
“Always stay unapologetically yourself, keep wearing your quirky earrings like the ones that are little goldfishes in a bag or fried eggs & go and smash studying archaeology at university. P.s buzzing you can now come to brunches with me.”
Scarlett herself is a mum now after her and Scott welcomed a baby called Jude in 2023. In late 2025, the reality star said she didn’t plan to have any more children after a devastating miscarriage. Scarlett also revealed her struggle to get pregnant with Jude, explaining that it took “three and a bit years”.
