Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood had a raging row live on The Talk after Mrs O defended Piers Morgan’s comments about Meghan Markle’s infamous interview with Oprah
Sharon Osbourne’s former co-star has broken her silence following their huge row live on air. Sheryl Underwood, who presented US chat show, The Talk, alongside Sharon, fell out with the matriarch in 2021 when the music manager defended her pal Piers Morgan’s comments about Meghan Markle’s infamous interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Following their fierce feud in which Sharon insisted she wasn’t a “racist” for defending Piers, 60, who walked out of his GMB show after slamming Meghan’s bombshell claims about the Royal Family, the pair became estranged. Five years later following the sad death of Sharon’s husband, Ozzy, Sheryl, 62, has claimed she tried to reach out to the mum-of-three, 73.
And she has now said that despite their disagreements, she still has “love” for her former colleague. Speaking on The View this week, she said: “I will say this. I still believe there’s some love between me and Sharon Osbourne. I tried to reach out when Ozzy passed.”

“I love her. But sometimes you find out, your co-workers, your colleagues or you hope that it doesn’t get as big. … You don’t sit next to somebody for that amount of time and don’t have no love.”
Sheryl added: “And the reason people say, ‘Well, Sheryl, when [the feud] happened, why didn’t you reach out?’ I’m afraid to leave a voicemail. Because in the business we’re in, your voicemail will show up somewhere or be misunderstood. I’d rather be quiet than continue to hurt people. Because I’ma have to face God one day.”

During their heated debate live in front of millions of viewers, Sheryl asked Sharon about her outspoken support of Piers amid his criticism of the Duchess of Sussex. Piers doubted Meghan’s claims that someone in the Royal Family had asked about the colour of her son Archie’s skin before he was born as well as claiming she had felt suicidal.
Questioning Sharon for standing by Piers, Sheryl said: “What would you say to people who may feel that while you’re standing by your friend, it appears you gave validation or safe haven to something that he has uttered that is racist, even if you don’t agree?” Underwood asked.
Things quickly escalated, with Sharon insisting that Sheryl “educate” her. “I very much feel like I’m about to be put in the electric chair because I have a friend, who many people think is a racist, so that makes me a racist?” Sharon asked while on the verge of tears.
Sheryl explained that while Piers was not overtly racist, she found it hard to understand why Sharon was defending him so fiercely, telling her “it is not the exact words of racism, it’s the implication and the reaction to it.” Sharon, who joined The Talk in 2010 as one of its original panellists, left in 2021 following her remarks. The show itself concluded in December 2024 following its cancellation.
In 2024, Sharon said on an episode of The Sage Steele Show that she “didn’t want to” apologise to Underwood when she did and felt she “didn’t do anything” wrong, per Deadline. She said: “But my kid said to me, ‘Just apologise to her. Maybe you’re wrong and she read you wrong or something, just in case, apologise.’ And I did,” Sharon said. “I apologised to her. I called her.”
