Holly Ramsay has jetted off on her honeymoon and is sharing some of her favourite beauty staples along the way, including a £15 SPF that’s ‘the best’ for rosacea
The winter weather might make sun protection the last thing on your mind, but the reality is you should be wearing sunscreen every day – yes, even when it’s raining. So whether you’ve got a sunny holiday booked to escape the UK weather, or are battling out in the rain and snow until spring, applying SPF should be at the top of your skincare priority list.
If you’re looking for a new one to try out this year, Holly Ramsay has a great recommendation. During her honeymoon with new husband Adam Peaty, Holly shared some of her skincare must-haves, including the La Roche-Posay Anthelios UVMune 400 Invisible Fluid Non-Perfumed Suncream SPF50+.

It might sound like a mouthful, but the SPF is one of the best-loved sunscreens for sensitive skin, as well as offering high levels of protection from UVA and UVB rays with its SPF50+ rating. It’s ultra-resistant to water, sand and swear, and has a lightweight texture that’s invisible with no white cast or strong scent.
The Anthelios Invisible Suncream SPF50+ is also suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin, and has been praised by shoppers for being the: “Best sunscreen for rosacea prone skin.” The reviewer also added: “Great protection without causing a flare up.”
Another suncream that’s great for sensitive skin is Ultra Violette’s Clean Screen Sensitive Skinscreen SPF 30 which is now £25.60 down from £32. Although it only has SPF30 rather than SPF50, it’s specially designed to be kind to sensitive, reactive or acne-prone skin.
You could also try out Beauty of Joseon’s Relief Sun Rice + Probiotics SPF50+ which is just £12.20 down from £15.50 and contains ingredients that are rich, hydrating and soothing. Byoma’s Ultralight Face Fluid SPF50 is also a great alternative that’s hydrating, soothing and supportive to the skin barrier and is now £12 down from £15.
However the La Roche-Posay Anthelios Invisible Suncream SPF50+ has been well-praised by shoppers. One said: “Great to wear every day all year round SPF love it.”
Another agreed: “A great suncream I use daily. I find it doesn’t move throughout the day as found other sun creams slide down your face and sting into your eyes. Does not leave skin looking oily.”
Whilst a third said: “This is the only SPF, that doesn’t make my skin go oily nor break me out, doesn’t leave a white cast and works well with my sensitive skin.”
One did say: “Fine for the price but do not wear under makeup. If I wear this product and then apply make up, my makeup completely separates, even if leaving the SPF to settle for a good amount of time.”
Whilst another agreed: “Used to love this and used for many years. Now unfortunately it seems the formula has changed and it very thick & more tacky on the skin that used to be.”
However another praised the consistency of the Anthelios Invisible Suncream SPF50+, saying: “Been using this stuff for years I’ve tried a few different brands but always come back to this non greasy hydrating and looks great under makeup perfect for summer.”
