Neighbours star Ashleigh Brewer is pregnant with her first child – weeks after tying-the-knot. The TV star, who played Kate Ramsey on the iconic Australian soap from 2009 until 2014, has opened up about her happy news online and in an interview.
Ashleigh, 35, was first introduced to producer and photographer Mark Bauch in 2022 after being introduced by her H:20 Just Add Water co-star Phoebe Tonkin. In December, the duo got married in an intimate ceremony in California while Ashleigh had time off from filming long-running US soap The Bold and the Beautiful.
And taking to social media this weekend, the TV star – who is a close friend of fellow Neighbours icon Margot Robbie – shared her happy news that she and Mark are soon to become parents. Taking to Instagram on Saturday, Ashleigh proudly showed off her developing bump in a string of tasteful black and white snaps.

Wearing a white shirt which had been unbuttoned in a way to expose her tummy, the star flashed a proud smile while keeping her hands on her bump. She captioned the post, writing: “We are so excited!!” alongside pink flower, red heart, and hugging face emojis.
Her reveal coincided with a new interview published in Australia’s Stellar magazine – where she opened up about her pregnancy. She revealed to the weekend magazine: “Yes, I’m pregnant. Which is so exciting – I’m going into my third trimester now.”
She went on to reveal how the writers and creative crew on The Bold And The Beautiful – on which she has played Ivy Forrester since 2014 – are working to conceal her real-life pregnancy. Ashleigh explained: “It’s been an interesting peek behind the curtain. Depending on the scene, I’ll either wear clothes that conceal my bump or I’ll hold a bag in front of me.
“But it’s funny, in between ‘Action’ and ‘Cut’, I really forget that I’m pregnant and then I’ll have a director whisper into my microphone, ‘Ashleigh, you’re just rubbing your tummy.’ It’s been such a grounding experience, actually.”
And she also opened up about her romantic wedding day to Mark. She said: “We’d been engaged for two years but we couldn’t quite figure out how to do a wedding and where to do it. He’s English, I’m Australian and we live in Los Angeles. In the end, we organised the wedding in nine days. We had a date set at the Santa Barbara courthouse and we just committed to it.
“We were only allowed 10 people, so we had to pick our closest friends, and he had his parents there and my mum flew in. It was just a perfect cyclone of everything falling into place, the way it was meant to be, and it just felt so kismet. I wore a white silk dress, which arrived in the mail two days before the wedding.”
After sharing the news of her pregnancy on Instagram, Ashleigh and Mark have been inundated with messages of congratulations. One follower commented: “You look RADIANT my darling!!! All the love in the world to you.” While another remarked: “Wonderful news! How beautiful.”
And other fans shared their surprise at the news – noting that The Bold and the Beautiful is concealing the news expertly well. One commented: “Wait .. how long in advance does BB shoot ! You look absolutely fantastic on these current episodes! Congratulations! Stunning picture.”
