The son of a Real Housewives star has reportedly died aged 23. Mary Cosby’s son, Robert Jr, has died in Utah, with the cause of his death currently unclear.
Police in Salt Lake City are said to have responded to a call for a “full arrest/medical emergency on Monday evening. TMZ has said the incident turned into a death investigation upon arrival.
Robert had appeared on RHOSLC a number of times over the years as his mum’s life was shown on screen. During season four, a storyline showed how Mary discovered he had secretly married without telling his mother.
The wedding reportedly took place in August 2022 at a Utah courthouse. A couple of months ago, Robert’s wife, Alexiana Smokoff, filed for divorce.
The duo’s alleged drug issues played a part on the series. In an emotional scene in series five, Robert Jr opened up to his mum about his struggles with addiction.
Mary told camera it was a “cry for help” and Robert went on to enter a 30-day rehabilitation programme.
