Sophie, 31, met Candy Kittens entrepeneur Jamie, 37, in 2017, on Made in Chelsea, with the couple getting married in Marbella, Spain in 2023. The trailer for the new series starts with Jamie and Sophie making their way to The Lindo Wing maternity unit at St Mary’s Hospital.

Introducing the show, Jamie says: “We met on a legendary reality show, Made In Chelsea and things have been crazy ever since… TV shows, brands, podcasts, and we’re having a baby.”

Sophie opens up on her feelings towards her unborn baby, saying: “Pregnancy is a rollercoaster. The excitement of being a mum and the love I feel…”

Business owner Jamie admits that Sophie wears the trousers at home, joking: “The dyanmic between the Sophie and I, she’s the boss and i’m the intern.”

The trailer shows that the show follows the ups and downs of their journey, including an argument they had at their former apartment. Jamie can be heard shouting: “I’m stressed. I’m tired. A fuming Sophie retorts: “But you just go behind my back. That’s so unacceptable!”

The couple’s friends and family also feature in the programme, including Sophie’s sister Georgia, Jamie’s MiC co-star and pal Oliver Proudlock and Jamie’s mum Penny Baines. At one point, Penny, known for her straight-talking nature, joked: “This pregnancy, you’d think the Messiah was arriving.”

A touching scene documents the moment little Ziggy was born. The pair can be seen in theatre as Sophie undergoes her C-section, gripping the hand of her husband as they wait for the sound of their baby’s first cry.

The couple are both overcome with emotion as they hear the baby for the first time, Jamie covering his eyes as he sheds tears of relief. Sophie says: “I’ve never felt more excited to meet somebody in my whole life.”

The series will on Disney+ on April 2, but ahead of its release, the couple revealed there was one moment that features in the series that they had never anticipated including. Sophie admitted: “We always have this struggle in our relationship with the podcast, with social media, online, everything.

“Jamie would want to share every single thing, and I more so find that a little bit scary. However, with this TV show, after we started filming, we quickly realised, well, I realised, that it wasn’t going to work unless we showed everything.”

She continued: “And with the birth scene, we really didn’t expect to go in there. I didn’t actually want to film that, but it’s there and it’s real and that is the story and that is what happened. I’ve just gone for it.”

Jamie was quick to jump in, adding: “I didn’t force Sophie to film the birth scene,” as his wife went on to share the sweet reason she wanted to keep it in.

“What actually happened was my anaesthetist took my phone and filmed the whole thing! When I’d given birth and we were looking through the photos, we were like, ‘Oh my God, the whole thing’s been filmed’,” she recalled.

“And actually, it made us feel really emotional and obviously it was the greatest day of our lives. We thought ‘Do you know what? It happens, it’s real life’ and we put it in there.”
