As romantics mark Valentine’s Day, a line-up of celebrities are revealing their artistic efforts at the Share Your Heart exhibition to mark 30 years of the Chain of Hope charity.
An exhibition of artwork by famous faces at London’s Saatchi Gallery will mark 30 years of the Chain of Hope charity with a show, named Share Your Heart, with 60 heart artworks from a mixture of top class artists and celebrities to be auctioned in aid of the charity.
TV presenter Allison Hammond says of her picture: “What better way to share my love, than to share my heart with you. The work that Chain of Hope does is incredible.” Spice Girl Mel B adds: “I was so proud to be part of this. The charity does amazing work, saving lives of children desperately in need of surgery.
“It’s about sharing hearts – and pieces of our hearts – with others. However broken, however damaged, we should all have the opportunity to mend. That was the message i wanted to send with my heart. I really hope it can help save lives.”

Chain of Hope, launched by Professor Sir Magdi Yacoub, raises awareness and funds for children born with congenital heart disease in 43 different countries. It has helped facilitate 5,000 life-saving cardiac procedures on five continents, at specialist paediatric cardiac centres in Egypt, Uganda, Ethiopia, Mozambique and Jamaica.
And the exhibition, running from February 11 to 15, includes work by celebrities ranging from Gillian Anderson to Olivia Colman, Alison Hammond, John Lithgow, Donny Osmond and Shaggy to EastEnders’ Nitin Gantra. They have joined forces with artists including Youssef Nabil, Gordon Cheung and Philip Colbert, to help raise money to save children’s lives throughout February – which is the charity’s annual ‘Heart Month.’
TV presenter Vicky Pattison says: “I’ve really loved getting artistic for such a good cause. A gift that literally gives back by mending broken hearts.” Strictly dancer Nadiya Bychova says of her artwork: “This design came very naturally. My daughter created the heart as a memory heart, it represents love that stays with you, even when life changes or feels uncertain. It means a great deal to me. Share a Heart is about connection, compassion, and giving something meaningful back.”
Meanwhile, comedian Tom Allen praises the charity, adding: “It’s been great working with Chain Of Hope on their Share a Heart Campaign. “How wonderful it is that we can, hopefully, mend some broken hearts this Valentine’s Day in a literal sense.
“The work of the charity is so important, and it was lovely to create something with my niece, which will help towards funding life-saving cardiac surgery for children in war-torn and developing countries around the world. I have channelled my inner Picasso and for such a good cause!”
