TEHRAN- Iran’s Minister of Industry, Mining, and Trade stated: “We have prepared the strategic and operational plan for the industry sector during the fourteenth administration with the participation of the private sector, all stakeholders, and industrialists, and by utilizing past programs.”

Mohammad Atabak said on Thursday at the Fajr Hall of the Sarcheshmeh Copper Complex in Rafsanjan, Kerman province: “This strategy was approved in technical committees and relevant organizations, was referred to the Cabinet, and was ultimately approved. Therefore, we have the industry strategy plan, which also includes provincial breakdowns.”

He added: “Kerman province is unique in terms of all indicators and possesses specific advantages and characteristics, which necessitate that its value-added ranking be among the highest in the country.”

The Minister of Industry, Mining, and Trade, noting that Kerman province ranks eighth in the country in terms of value-added, which is a high rank, emphasized: “Given the advantage of copper and the mines present in Kerman, if processing is focused on, it can lead to an increase in this value-added within a short period.”

He stated, noting that many projects lose their economic viability when they become prolonged: “We must not allow this to happen, and we expect projects to be completed more quickly and according to the scheduled timeline.”
