‘Stray Kids’ dominate competition on first day in theaters

“Stray Kids: The dominATE Experience” was No. 1 in the box office on its opener Friday, with sales of $3.2 million, according to The Numbers.

The concert film follows the K-pop boy band Stray Kids as they perform at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

In the second spot was “Solo Mio” with sales of just over $3.18 million on its opening day.

The rom-com, set in Rome, stars Kevin James as an art teacher whose fiancée leaves him at the altar.

“Send Help,” the horror comedy with Rachel McAdams and Dylan O’Brien, moved down a notch to third, with a $2.8 million take.

In fourth was French filmmaker Luc Besson’s  “Dracula,” with $2.1 million in revenue.

The film was released in France in July, and debuted in America on Friday.

In fifth was the sci-fi horror “Iron Lung,” which was in first place last Friday, with sales of $2.05 million.
