The cast of Border 2, including Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan and Ahan Shetty recently gathered for a success meet in Mumbai. The stars were seen interacting with the media about the movie, its audience appreciation and behind-the-scenes hard work.
Sunny Deol heaped praises on Varun Dhawan. “He is a very hardworking boy. When I went on the sets, I was told how he is doing action. He is trying, falling, failing but performing nonetheless. I recalled then that we would do the same when we were young actors. He is still young. It was great working with him. His character came across really well. I wish him all the best.
He also shared his take on the trolling Varun had to face on social media. For those unaware, the actor was trolled for having a “crooked smile” and many netizens also criticised his expressions in his movies. “Nowadays, people on social media only want to bring out their frustration. I don’t understand that. But all I want to say is, even if you are on social media, please don’t get serious about it. It’s all b*****t. You know who you are and what you are. People watch your movies. Others may say a lot about you. They don’t like saying good things about anyone,” Sunny quipped.
Varun also spoke about the trolls on social media. He said, “People copied my own expressions from Badri Ki Dulhania. They also trolled me. Main apni next film mein ye same expressions try karunga. (I will try the same expressions in my next film.) This was a serious film, so I didn’t say anything.
Border 2 released on January 23, 2026. The action-war sequel starred Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty in leading roles. As per a report by Sacnilk, Border 2 has collected a total of Rs 316 crores so far.
