England survived a huge scare to beat Nepal by four runs in their T20 World Cup opener in Mumbai.
England won the toss and batted first, rallying late to post a 184-7, with Will Jacks hitting 39 off 18 to give Nepal some work to do to catch the favourites.
But starring performances from Airee (44) and Paudel (39) star for Nepal meant a real shock was on the cards but some expert bowling from Sam Curran to see out the victory denied the Nepalese one of their biggest success stories in the country’s history.
