Tabu’s Rimple and Harpreet sari glints with Art Deco geometry and birds-of-paradise motifs

For a wedding event, Tabu wore a frost-blue sari by Rimple and Harpreet styled by Mohit Rai and Tarang Agarwal. The drape is cut from sheer tulle covered in dense vertical rows of sequins, giving the fabric a liquid, reflective texture across the body.

Along the edge runs a wide gold border worked in sequins, thread and bead embroidery. The pattern moves through repeating geometric shapes that step outward along the length of the drape. Floral bursts appear intermittently across the lower portion of the sari and along the trailing pallu, while small bird motifs are worked into sections of the embroidery.

The blouse carries dense surface work across the bodice and sleeves, set with crystals, coloured stones and bead embroidery. The neckline and sleeves reference antique lace patterns, and a lace underskirt becomes visible beneath the hem of the sheer sari.

Green stone drop earrings and stacked bangles from Razwada Jewels introduce colour against the cool blue drape. Tabu’s hair was styled into a sleek bun set with white roses by Nanda Panchal, while Rajesh Patil kept the makeup in her familiar palette of kohl-lined eyes and a rosey nude lip.
