Taylor Frankie Paul Allowed To Visit Son, Ever True Amid Legal Battle With Ex-BF, Dakota Mortensen

The legal battle between Taylor Frankie Paul and her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen has officially taken a serious turn. The duo recently appeared in court after allegations of abuse and the custody of their son, Ever True. For the unversed, Taylor and Dakota met on Instagram and eventually appeared on Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives. However, their relationship soon turned into a legal battle. In the recent court proceeding that happened on April 7, 2026, the judge made it clear that the custody of Ever True will remain with Dakota; however, the judge allowed Taylor eight hours per week of supervised visitation. The court felt that it is best for the child if he is allowed to spend time with both Taylor and Dakota. According to a report by People, this decision will stay in place until the next hearing which will happen on April 30, 2026.

Taylor Frankie Paul believes Dakota Mortensen is trying to paint her as an abusive mother

According to a sworn declaration attached to the official documents, the social media personality, Taylor Frankie Paul spoke about her relationship with Dakota and their son. She revealed that Dakota is trying to paint her as an abusive mother, who can’t take care of their son. According to People, she shared:

“For the most part, our co-parenting dynamic has functioned adequately. Recently, however, in an effort to sabotage my career, Dakota filed a protective order against me on March 19, 2026. I will respond to his allegations in a separate declaration before the hearing on April 30, 2026 before Commissioner Minas. Suffice it to say, I completely reject Dakota’s characterizations of my conduct and his attempts to paint me as an abusive mother and co-parent. The evidence will show the Court that Dakota has been the primary aggressor and has been violent and abusive toward me.”

Taylor Frankie Paul accept making several mistakes

According to the same official documents, Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives fame, Taylor also accepted her mistakes, but revealed that Dakota is an abusive person. Giving an example of her ex-husband, Tate, Taylor stated that everything is good between them. Further, she concluded by requesting for protection from Dakota. In her words:

“I am not perfect. I have owned my mistakes, but Dakota is an abusive individual who refuses to take accountability. My ex-husband, Tate Paul, and I remain great friends. We have settled into a successful co-parenting relationship, sharing our two children equally. I desperately need protection from Dakota or else his abuse, both physical and emotional, will continue.”

If reports are to be believed, Taylor and Dakota began dating after the former’s split from her ex-husband, Tate. Throughout their relationship they shared multiple happy moments. In March 2026, Dakota filed a protective order against Taylor. During the same, both Taylor and Dakota have accused each other with several serious accusations. For the unversed, Taylor claimed that she faced domestic violence and also faced harassment and stalking. A few weeks ago, their video went viral on social media, which confirmed physical violence between them.
