Taylor Frankie Paul’s Ex, Dakota Mortensen, Edited Out Of ‘Vanderpump Villa’ S3, ‘We Don’t Want..’

It’s been days since Dakota Mortensen and his ex-girlfriend, Taylor Frankie Paul, first started grabbing the headlines. For those unaware, the pair are involved in a domestic violence row. According to reports, the Draper City Police Department has confirmed an active domestic assault investigation involving the two. While Taylor was the only one losing reality TV spots because of this, that is no longer the case. New reports suggest that Dakota’s appearance on the third season of Vanderpump Villa has also been axed.  

Why has Dakota Mortensen’s appearance on Vanderpump Villa been axed? 

On April 3, 2026, TMZ confirmed that Dakota Mortensen would no longer appear in Season 3 of Vanderpump Villa. An insider with direct knowledge told the publication that the decision to axe Dakota’s appearance on the show was, in part, for the same reason that Taylor Frankie Paul’s season of The Bachelorette was cancelled. For the unversed, ABC cancelled the much-awaited series just three days before it was scheduled to premiere on March 22, 2026.

This was after TMZ published a video dating back to 2023 showing The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star throwing chairs at her ex-boyfriend, Dakota, in front of her daughter, Indy. Prior to this, with serious domestic violence accusations levelled at both Taylor and Dakota, the filming of Mormon Wives was also paused. Well, Lisa Vanderpump, who leads the series herself, opened up about editing Dakota out of Vanderpump Villa during an interview with People a while ago. She said:

“We don’t want to shine a spotlight on something that’s been so controversial when we have so much great content. Our show’s ready to go. Obviously, we don’t want to do anything extraordinarily significant at this stage in the game, but it’s ready to go.”

It is worth noting that there has been considerable social media discourse about ABC allegedly turning on Taylor. Some netizens think that it’s unfair that only Taylor is paying the price while Dakota did not have to lose anything, that is, until now.  

Dakota Mortensen will still feature on Alex Cooper’s Unwell Winter Games amid his domestic violence row with Taylor Frankie Paul  

Despite Dakota Mortensen from Lisa Vanderpump’s series, which returns on April 16, 2026, he is still set to star in Alex Cooper’s Unwell Winter Games. For those unaware, the show drops on Monday, April 6, 2026, on Unwell’s YouTube channel. The trailer for the 4-episode series has already generated significant buzz since its release on March 31, 2026. In case you missed it, the trailer shows Dakota admitting, “I’ve made some bad choices in my past.”

Although we do not know if he was alluding to his relationship with Taylor, the moment still caught fans’ attention. Another moment that became the talk of the town was Dancing With The Stars pro, Gleb Savchenko, pointing at Dakota and saying, “Bad guy.” He then immediately points to himself and says the same. To this, Dakota nodded, seemingly agreeing to his fellow contestant’s statements.
