Nothing spices up a post-match Q&A quite like a NSFW soundbite.
Just ask American ace Sebastian Korda, who laughed off a slip of the tongue from interviewer Michelle Yu as she conversed with the world No. 40 about his semifinal win against Italy’s Flavio Cobolli on Saturday at the Delray Beach Open in Florida.
“You’ve played Flavio three times and you’ve had sex — success with him all three times. Why is it that you have had such success?” Yu asked while laughing.
Korda, who started cracking up as Yu finished her question, cheekily replied, “He’s a good-looking guy, so…”
The 25-year-old Korda — also the younger brother of LPGA Tour star Nelly Korda – continued his undefeated streak against Cobolli, taking down the third seed 7-6 (1), 6-1, en route to a finals clash against fellow American Tommy Paul.
Korda topped fifth-seed Paul on Sunday, 6-4, 6-3, for his first title of the year.
“[It means] a lot. I’ve been through some stuff the past couple of months, years,” the Florida native said, according to the ATP Tour. “I’ve lost a lot of finals and now to get one here in Delray — this is where I made my first ATP final — so it’s like a full-circle day. I’m just happy.”
Korda missed playing time over the summer months last year as he recovered from a stress fracture in his right shin.
“Grow through what you go through,” he said of the win Monday on Instagram.

As for Yu, an Emmy-winning journalist and host, she also recapped her time at the Delray Beach Open on Instagram with a not-so-subtle nod to her viral blunder.
“Hosting, highlights, and that [mic] moment with the new champion @sebastiankorda,” she captioned her post Sunday. “Thank you @delraybeachopen for having me. S-U-C-C-E-S-S.”
